FC Barcelona News: 9 March 2016; Barça rule out Paul Pogba signing, plan Samper extension

The club have made their priority signing a centre-back, a striker and, if the chance arises, a left-back. Three positions in which they have had to rule out signing some big names, thanks to price, priority and even because they don't think they will adjust to the characteristics of Barcelona's game.

Sergi Samper knows his era with the Barcelona B team ends this season, but his priority is to stay with Barcelona. The player has told his agents and representatives to exhaust the options for him to play in the first team, ahead of looking for other moves.

It's not easy, because there's a lot of competition on the market, but Barcelona have faith in getting everything ready for the end of the season and that there will be no unwanted soap operas. In any case, they will not be announcing anything until the season is over - after the Champions League final in Milan on May 29.

Brazil Coach Dunga has said if he has to choose, he would prefer to have Barcelona forward Neymar playing at the Olympic Games, not the Copa America.

The FC Barcelona Under-19 A squad will not be at the Final Four in Nyon on 15 April after falling to Anderlecht in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League by a score of 2–0. It was the exact same disappointment they had in the last 16 last season when they also fell to Anderlecht.

With the finale of the 2015/16 La Liga just a wee bit over two months away, and with a grand total of ten games still to be played, the race for the big, shiny cup is beginning to heat up.
