Barcelona fans everywhere are still not in a good mood just a few hours removed from the Champions League loss to Atlético Madrid that knocked out the defending champions.
Because of the poor run of form in the last five games, three of which have been losses, the fans are understandably worried about what a potential Treble-winning season could become if the struggles continue. Keeper Marc-André ter Stegen is aware of the fans' disappointment, and he promises to improve.
The German said that and more in an Instagram post on Thursday:
Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose, that's the reality. My teammates and I are athletes, we always work hard and want to win. This is always the motivation. Yesterday we did not get the result we wanted, but we will bounce back, stronger than ever. There are two more opportunities to win titles and we want to win them as much as you do!
From now on, Ter Stegen can only play once more this season when he puts in his gloves for the Copa del Rey Final against Sevilla next month. Until then, he is going to be a fan like the rest of us. Worried, yet still confident.
