The media was pretty harsh on Neymar during Barça's mini-crisis. One of his teammates and closest friends did not like it.
Luis Suárez criticized the Spanish media for choosing the Brazilian forward as the player to blame for Barça's recent drop in form, which included a loss in El Clásico and a Champions League elimination. While Neymar's performances were in fact not up to his standards, it seemed a little unfair that he would be singled out as the reason for the Catalan giants' slump.
The Uruguayan certainly agrees with that, and he hit back at the critics with a strong defense of his 'MSN' partner:
"When things are going badly we all take responsibility. Over the past few days one person has been blamed but that's not the way it is. We're not machines; every player goes through a bad patch and it hurts that Neymar has been blamed.
"When we were winning nobody said that only Ney was winning. It's about the team. He has feelings and it wasn't fair to blame him, but one thing in his favour is that he always fights and never lets his head drop.
"We [the front three] are aware of our importance to the team but nobody is untouchable and no-one should be responsible on his own when things are going wrong."

Suárez had a masterful performance on Wednesday against Deportivo La Coruña, and even Neymar showed some improvement despite a quite game, finishing with a confidence-building goal in the 8-0 rout.
As time goes on, Ney will come back to his normal. Until then, Suárez asks for patience.
