Talking about rumors surrounding football is a fun activity for many fans, maybe only second to actually watching football. In this new daily column, we'll take a look at the latest rumors floating around the rumor mill.

Key reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt. And please don't yell at us. We're just reporting.

Rumors for the Day:

  • As noted here, Barcelona have shortlisted Leicester City star goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel as the potential replacement to Marc-André ter Stegen, who could leave the Catalan giants this summer. The Blaugrana could offer as much as €20 million for the Denmark international.
  • With a spot in next season's Champions League guaranteed, Tottenham Hotspur wants to strengthen its squad for a deep run in the competition, and Spurs are the favorites to land two Olympique Lyon targets: striker Alexandre Lacazette and defender Samuel Umtiti. Other Premier League clubs are also interested in both players.
  • Falcao García will not stay in the Premier League after a second consecutive disappointing season on loan, this time at Chelsea. But the Monaco striker could find a new club next season: Italian giants AS Roma are apparently interested in the Colombian international and are ready to make a bid.
  • Another important Serie A club, Inter Milan, have reportedly secured their first signing for next season: Ajax winger Anwar El-Ghazi will be the replacement to Ivan Perisic, who appears to be on his way to Chelsea.
  • Manchester United will have to battle to sign Benfica midfielder Renato Sanches this summer. Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also interested in the Portuguese youngster, who exploded this season and looks set to make a move to a big club.
If you have heard of any rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are only rumors and not facts, so please take them as such. Have fun!
