After scoring four goals against Sporting Gijón, Luis Suárez has now found the net 53 times in 49 official matches this season. That’s the highest tally of his professional career, with his previous best being 49 goals in 48 games in the 2009/10 season with Ajax Amsterdam.

There are three games remaining in the 2015/16 La Liga and there are three teams in the chase for the title, all but ensuring a nail-biting, photo finish that may be up in the air until the last minute.

One of the big matchups in this summer's 2016 International Champions Cup, the annual preseason tournament — which, this year runs from 23 July to 13 August — will feature FC Barcelona and Celtic.

Former Barcelona midfielder Edgar Davids has hit back at criticism over the form of Neymar. The Brazil international scored in the 8-0 and 6-0 thrashings of Deportivo La Coruna and Sporting Gijon, but had gone five matches without a goal prior to those victories.

Sevilla forward Kevin Gameiro has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to La Liga champions Barcelona, though he did leave the door open to a potential switch in the future.

Mundo Deportivo reports that after going from Luis Enrique’s fifth-choice centre-back to getting minutes against Deportivo La Coruna and Sporting Gijon, Bartra isn’t considering the summer or next season, after it appeared he was bound to leave Camp Nou.

Mundo Deportivo says technical secretary Robert Fernandez has seen Bailly play on a number of occasions as he has been watching Denis Suarez, but the Ivory Coast international has made a good impression.
