Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos, one of the hottest prospects in football, is thinking of leaving his club, and Barcelona could take advantage.

The Brazilian was on the bench for the entire 90 minutes of PSG's 2-2 draw with Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals last Wednesday, the latest contributor to Marquinhos' growing dissatisfaction with the French powerhouse.

The 21-year-old has been played out of position almost all season, and on the biggest match to this point, he was replaced in the starting lineup by Serge Aurier, who was suspended two months for publicly insulting his coach and teammates.

The incident reportedly angered the player, who was described as "humiliated" by the benching and has made up his mind about leaving the club. And his agent, Giuliano Bertolucci, gave a very telling interview to French media after the game against City.

"Marquinhos is disappointed, but so is the entire PSG team with tonight's result. We can talk more later, he is to angry to say anything else right now.

"Let's wait to see what happens in the Champions League. We're going to wait the end of the quarterfinals and then talk about his future."

Marquinhos has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona, and the Catalan club is interested in his signing for the next transfer window since Luis Enrique has asked for a great young center-back to partner alongside Gerard Piqué. The Brazilian almost signed back in 2014, but PSG did not open negotiations.

Two years later, Marquinhos is not happy and could even force an exit if necessary. If that happens, Barça will not waste any time in trying to bring one of the world's best young defenders to the Camp Nou.
