Lionel Messi definitely not rooting for Real Madrid in Champions League Final

Lionel Messi is not a big talker, but that does not mean he likes to see Real Madrid winning.

The Argentinean superstar gave an interview to ESPN Deportes this week, and one of the topics was Barça's run in the Champions League this season, when the Blaugrana got knocked out by Atlético Madrid, now a European Cup finalist. The Colchoneros gave Barça a painful elimination, and one would not expect the Catalan giants to be rooting for Atleti in the Milan Final.

But Diego Simeone's men will face Real Madrid, which means Messi is certainly not rooting for Los Blancos in three weeks.

"Always for Barcelona, the fans don't want to see Real Madrid win anything, as they also feel toward us."

Short, direct, clear answer. But what about Atlético, Leo? Care to comment on the other Champions League finalist?

"They are a team very uncomfortable to play against. And [Simeone] deserves much merit for what he has done and made his players believe in him and do things perfectly because he has been at this for a while now. Apart from this he has very good players and reserves, who also come in and do the job when they get a chance."

He doesn't want Madrid to win anything, and he's praising Atleti. Yeah, Messi might have a favorite.
