Talking about rumors surrounding football is a fun activity for many fans, maybe only second to actually watching football. In this new daily column, we'll take a look at the latest rumors floating around the rumor mill.

Key reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt. And please don't yell at us. We're just reporting.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Barcelona is very close to signing Ligue 1 star Hatem Ben Arfa on a free transfer, and according to reports in France, the Nice forward traveled to Catalonia to visit the club and complete the deal.
  • Arsenal superstar Mesut Özil could be making a big Premier League switch this summer, as new Manchester United manager José Mourinho has asked for the German midfielder.
  • Robert Lewandowski has been heavily linked with a move away from Bayern Munich this summer, and his destination appears to be Real Madrid, with Los Blancos beating Manchester City to sign the Polish striker.
  • China continues to look to sign big names in giant transfers next summer, and the latest target appears to be Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fàbregas, who has reportedly rejected a £15 million salary offer from a Chinese club.
