It isn’t the first time Barça have wrapped up a La Liga title on the road. They did it last year too, thanks to a lone goal from Messi on the second-to-last match day of the season at Atlético Madrid, meaning both of head coach Luis Enrique’s league titles (in his only two seasons at the helm) have been confirmed away from home.

Take a look back at our minute-to-minute coverage as FC Barcelona squad paraded through the city in an open-top bus in celebration of the 2015/16 La Liga title

The fans turned up perfectly dressed for the special day, draped in scarves, flags and jerseys which turned the city into a sea of the club’s colors. Both supporters and players will be hoping that they will be able to have a repeat of what took place, as they have the chance of lifting more silverware next week against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey final next Sunday.

Luis Suárez’s hat-trick on the final day of the league season confirmed his status not only as La Liga’s top scorer but of Europe too. The Uruguayan entered a rich vein of form in the season run-in, hitting 14 goals in the last five games to put himself at the summit of the goal scoring charts both at home and on the continent.

FC Barcelona have won their 24th league title in Club history and their second consecutive in the Luis Enrique era. If you were to look up the definition of the word 'dynasty', you would find a short first entry — 1. Futbol Club Barcelona.

Since his arrival in the summer of 2014, Luis Enrique has enjoyed success after success. After claiming the treble in his first campaign as coach, in his second he has added another three titles to the Club’s collection.

FC Barcelona B fell to a 1-0 defeat away to CD Olímpic de Xàtiva on the final day of the seasons which sees them finish in eleventh position in the standings. After a tentative start from both sides, it was the visitors who came closest to breaking the deadly lock early on, though Barça would be punished for not taking their chance when it came.
