Javier Mascherano sent off in first half of Copa del Rey final

If Barcelona are going to capture their second trophy of the season, they're going to have to do it with only 10 men. Javier Mascherano was shone a red card in the 37th minute of the Copa del Rey final against Sevilla for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity and being the last defender between the attacker and the goal.

Sevilla's Kevin Gameiro had a half of a step on Mascherano and was going in on goal when the Argentine hauled him down from behind. Here's a video of the incident:

It's tough call to make for a referee in such a huge match, but by the rules of the sport, it appears as if he got this one right. It'll be a difficult task for Barcelona to keep their head and find a way to win this one. But if any team is capable of overcoming the odds, it's this one.
