Luis Suárez congratulates Liverpool on advancing to Europa League Final

Luis Suárez might have left Anfield to join Barcelona, but Anfield hasn't left him.

The former Liverpool superstar watched his ex-teammates clinch a place in the Europa League final on Thursday after a fantastic 3-0 win against Villarreal at Anfield, which was more than enough to overcome a 1-0 deficit from the opening leg and give Jurgen Klopp's men a shot at European gold in the German's first season in charge.

Despite leaving the Reds to join the Blaugrana almost two years ago, Suárez is still very close to his former team. He is constantly visiting the club whenever he has a day off at Barça, and he's given many interviews saying he still watches Liverpool regularly.

He certainly saw Thursday's game, and took to Twitter to congratulate his friends and former teammates:

Congratulations to everyone at Liverpool on reaching the final! Congratulations friends! (Martin Skrtel, Philippe Coutinho)

That's cool to see. We love you, Luisito. And congratulations to Liverpool, too. Few coaches deserve a title like the awesome Klopp does. Plus Liverpool can destroy Sevilla just days before the Copa del Rey Final. Win!
