Talking about rumors surrounding football is a fun activity for many fans, maybe only second to actually watching football. In this new daily column, we'll take a look at the latest rumors floating around the rumor mill.

Key reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt. And please don't yell at us. We're just reporting.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Barcelona continues to search for a quality backup to the 'MSN' trio, and according to latest reports, they have narrowed their list down to three main options: Sevilla's Kevin Gameiro, Valencia's Paco Alcácer and Nice's Hatem Ben Arfa.
  • Premier League top scorer and England star Harry Kane is set to stay at his current club as the striker has agreed to sign a contract extension with Tottenham Hostpur.
  • Manchester United is set to sign one of their biggest targets, as the Red Devils have submitted an offer for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane, who's willing to join the Premier League giants this summer.
  • Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has decided to leave the club after falling out with his position coach, The Sun reports. The Blues are willing to let the Belgian star go, but want to keep their staff member.
If you have heard of any rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are only rumors and not facts, so please take them as such. Have fun!
