Talking about rumors surrounding football is a fun activity for many fans, maybe only second to actually watching football. In this new daily column, we'll take a look at the latest rumors floating around the rumor mill.

Key reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt. And please don't yell at us. We're just reporting.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Barcelona is looking for a young, cheap midfielder for next season, and they have shortlisted three players: Julian Weigl (20, Borussia Dortmund), Renato Sanches (18, Benfica) and Sebastián Pérez (23, Atlético Nacional - COL).
  • With reports coming out last week claiming that Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is set to leave the club this summer, Real Madrid are considering a move for the Belgian, who could become Keylor Navas' replacement next season.
  • Alexis Sánchez could be on his way out of Arsenal, with the Telegraph reporting the Chilean forward is unhappy at the Gunners and is looking at options to find a new club next season. Real Madrid have already been linked with the former Barcelona star.
  • Villarreal coach Marcelino García Toral has caught the attention of a Bundesliga giant thanks to his incredible campaign in La Liga and the Europa League this season: Schalke 04's owner is reportedly looking at the Spaniard as the next coach for the Royal Blues.
If you have heard of any rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are only rumors and not facts, so please take them as such. Have fun!
