Real Madrid will not pursue Manchester United’s David De Gea after Zinedine Zidane decided to keep faith in Keylor Navas. Marca claims Madrid are backing Zidane’s call to pass on the Spain international, Zizou having been impressed by Navas’ performances since he replaced Rafa Benitez as Coach in January.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been named as the world's highest-paid athlete in the 2016 edition of American business magazine Forbes' list. Ronaldo earned $88 million up to June 1 2016, which is made up of $56m in salary and $32m in endorsements to put him clear at the top.

Midfielder Pablo Sarabia joins Sevilla from Getafe on four-year deal - ESPN FC
Sevilla have reached an agreement in principle to sign midfielder Pablo Sarabia from Getafe on a four-year deal, the Spanish clubs announced on Thursday. Sarabia, 24, will have a medical on Friday before signing his contract, according to Sevilla.

Real Sociedad snap up Juanmi from Southampton on five-year deal - ESPN FC
Real Sociedad have signed Juanmi from Southampton for an undisclosed fee. Juanmi, 23, only joined the Saints from Malaga last summer but struggled to make an impact during his time at the Premier League club.

Depor turn to Garitano | Football Espana
Deportivo La Coruna have decided on Gaizka Garitano, the former Eibar and Real Valladolid Coach, to take over on a one-year contract. AS reports the Galician club’s council voted on four options offered by sporting director Richard Barral - Garitano, Sergio Gonzalez, Luis Cesar and Ruben Baraja, and it was Garitano who received the backing of the decision-makers.
