There’s no time for rest at FC Barcelona with the Spanish Super Cup first leg on the horizon, and so the first team were back at work on Friday morning for training on the Tito Vilanova field at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

FC Barcelona take on Sevilla in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday night. It’s a 10.00pm start Central European Time, and if you are not sure what time that would be where you are, then this guide should help you to sort things out. And if you are on holiday abroad, you should be able to find a channel that’s showing the game when you are.

Luis Suárez has scored in every possible competition for FC Barcelona. Bar one. The Spanish Super Cup. All that could change this week, and the Uruguayan has two chances to do it, in the first leg in Seville on Sunday night or in the return at the Camp Nou three days later.

Current custodian Joe Hart could be the next victim of Guardiola’s purge of his City squad, one that has seen Wilfried Bony, Eliqauim Mangala and Samir Nasri all expected to depart the club.

Catalunya Radio claims the 25-year-old does not feature in Barca boss Luis Enrique’s plans for the new campaign and will join the Viola on a season-long deal, which includes an option to buy the player for €8m.

Perez, with 17 League goals last term, is hoping stories of an imminent move to Barcelona come to fruition before the end of the summer transfer market, especially since the Catalans’ sporting director Robert Fernandez said after the Gamper Trophy clash with Sampdoria this week that a new striker would arrive before the start of the season.

Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger is looking for reinforcements in central defence after Per Mertesacker was ruled out for up to four months with a knee injury, while Gabriel is set to miss the start of the season due to an ankle problem.

Nonetheless, although Braida admits he is a fan of Pogba and that he is a great player, he says the Blaugrana were not in the race for his signature as they were never going to spend the kind of money being asked.
