Real Madrid are expected to learn their fate over a FIFA-imposed transfer ban within the next day or two. If handed down, the embargo on signing players for two transfer windows will prevent the club from bringing in any new faces for the entirety of 2017.

Espanyol have completed the signing of the experienced Javi Fuego from Valencia for a reported fee of €2 million. The hard-working midfielder joined Valencia on a free transfer from Rayo Vallecano in July 2013 and became an important part of the team that finished fourth in LaLiga during the 2014-15 campaign.

Official: Villarreal loan Santos Borre | Football Espana
Villarreal have acted quickly to replace Roberto Soldado by bringing in Atletico Madrid striker Rafael Santos Borre on a season-long loan. Santos Borre has yet to appear in an official match for Atleti after only arriving from Colombian side Deportivo Cali last month, although he did appear during preseason.

Aurtenetxe leaves Athletic for Mirandes | Football Espana
Left-back Jon Aurtenetxe has left Athletic Bilbao to join La Liga 2 side Mirandes on a free transfer. Aurtenetxe has reached an agreement with Athletic for his contract to be terminated, although the Basques can repurchase him at the end of the season.

Official: Osasuna loan Riera | Football Espana
Osasuna have announced the signing of Deportivo La Coruna striker Oriol Riera on a season-long loan. Riera’s move to Osasuna marks a return for the 30-year-old, who scored 13 La Liga goals for the Pamplona side during the 2013-14 campaign.
