Barcelona announce official squad numbers for 2016/17 season, including Paco Alcácer

The rest of the squad will keep their numbers

The official squad numbers for the 2016/17 have been announced by Barcelona on Thursday, and you can now buy the new Paco Alcácer shirt since the newest Blaugrana signing has been given a number as well:

What's interesting is that Barça and Valencia basically traded Alcácer and Munir, and the two players have gotten each other's numbers in their new clubs. Munir will get Paco's number 9 for his season loan, and Alcácer will wear Munir's old #17 shirt for the Catalan giants.

Number Seventeen is not exactly a historic shirt at Barça. In the last twenty years, the biggest "star" to wear that number was Pedro Rodríguez, who was #17 during the Pep Guardiola Era (and did well) before wearing #7 in his final season with the Catalans. Mark Van Bommel (remember him) and THE LORD HIMSELF Alexandre Song also took the #17 kit in their Barça careers.

Alcácer is perhaps the best player to ever wear #17 for Barça, and since he might be the New Pedro, he may contribute for Lucho as much as Pedro did for Pep. Win-win for Barça.
