How about this for an interesting nugget. Until today, Neymar had never scored in a World Cup qualifying match for Brazil. Since the last World Cup was in Brazil, they never had to qualify, thus making this qualification process, the Barcelona star’s first adventure into qualifying.
He finally got on the score sheet in one today away to Ecuador. His 72nd minute penalty was his first ever World Cup goal.
