Atlético Madrid manager Diego Simeone is looking forward to facing Barcelona at Camp Nou, and he knows how great his opponents will be on Wednesday.

Speaking to the Madrid press on Tuesday, the Atlético boss was once again very respectful of the Catalan giants, and even though he has eliminated Barça from the Champions League twice in the last three seasons, Simeone still believes the Blaugrana have always played better than his Colchoneros since Luis Enrique took over.

And while Barça's style of play is very different from Pep Guardiola's glory days of Tiki Taka, El Cholo still thinks that no other team plays better football than the Catalans:

"They still play brilliant football. They have the most decisive players both individually and as a unit, and that puts them in an incredible position. They won everything apart from the Champions League last season.

“Every game we lost, it was because Barcelona deserved to win. And when we drew it’s because we deserved to draw. But we never deserved to win on the basis of the 90 minutes. Maybe early on in some Champions League games, when we scored first, but not 90 minutes. They were better and deserved to win.

"More than in midfield, the game will be decided in the areas. They have tremendous strength in attack but if we defend well, then we’ll have a chance."
