Working in social media must be a tough job. No doubt every post you make is met with insults, unrelated comments and just general craziness because, well, the internet. And this is assuming you're doing a good job; if you're not very good at social media and you work for a huge global company or institution, things can get really confusing, really quickly.
Take this post from the FC Barcelona Facebook page for example:
Wait, what? I think we need to take a closer look at this, because this surely can't be right can it? I mean, we all thought he was super-human, but this must be beyond even his capabilities, right?
According to the club's official social media, Lionel Messi has recovered from a three-week injury in just three days and is part of the squad for tomorrow's match against Sporting Gijon. Except, he hasn't, and he isn't. The club website confirms his absence, as does pretty much every other source connected to the story -- including head coach Luis Enrique.
I know it's Friday, but to channel my inner Simpsons fan, I sure hope someone got fired for that blunder.
