What will be the final score of Barcelona's La Liga match this weekend?

Barcelona hope to return to the winning ways in La Liga on Saturday, as the Blaugrana face Sporting Gijón away from home looking for a victory to stay close to Real Madrid at the top of the table.

The Catalan giants will miss their best player, Lionel Messi, who sustained a groin injury in the last league game against Atlético Madrid and will be out of action for the next three weeks. Losing the best player of all time is certainly bad news, but Barça can still count on Luis Suárez and Neymar Jr. to carry the load during Messi's absence.

A victory is a must on Saturday, and we think this will indeed happen. Before today's prediction, however, here's a look at how we've done in our score predictions for the last six games.

vs Real Betis: 4-0 Barça (actual score: 6-2 Barça)

at Athletic Bilbao: 2-1 Barça (actual score: 1-0 Barça)

vs Alavés: 4-0 Barça (actual score: 2-1 Alavés)

vs Celtic: 5-0 Barça (actual score: 7-0 Barça)

vs Leganés: 3-0 Barça (actual score: 5-1 Barça)

vs Atlético Madrid: 1-1 draw (actual score: 1-1 draw)

NAILED IT! For the first time all season, we have gotten the result of the game right. We aren't exactly happy about it, since it means Barça didn't win, but it's nice to be accurate for a change. For this game against Gijón, we are going with a 3-1 prediction in the match preview. Hopefull Neymar and Suárez can score three goals, and while we'd love a clean sheet, Barça find a way to concede silly goals sometimes.
