Real Madrid were held for the second La Liga game in a row as Las Palmas twice came from behind to claim a 2-2 draw in Gran Canaria. Zinedine Zidane's men had seen their club-record run of 16 straight La Liga wins ended at home to Villarreal in midweek and their lead at the top has now been cut to one point, with Barcelona having beaten Sporting Gijon 5-0 earlier on Saturday.

No player is bigger than a club like Real Madrid - and that includes Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese forward was surprisingly substituted by coach Zinedine Zidane at Las Palmas and muttered to himself in annoyance as he trudged off the pitch. But he needs to understand that the team comes first.

Sevilla unbeaten start to LaLiga season ended at Athletic Bilbao - ESPN
Athletic Bilbao ended Sevilla's unbeaten start in LaLiga with a 3-1 victory at San Mames. Mikel San Jose bundled them ahead in the first half but Samir Nasri's first goal since joining Sevilla on loan from Manchester City drew the visitors level nine minutes into the second half.

Bebe puts seal on Eibar win over 10-man Real Sociedad - ESPN
Bebe scored a spectacular half-volley as Eibar beat 10-man local rivals Real Sociedad 2-0 in LaL iga. The former Manchester United forward slammed home from 25 yards in the 66th minute at Ipurua Municipal Stadium after Asier Illarramendi's own goal had put the hosts ahead nine minutes earlier.
