Paco Alcácer was officially presented by Barcelona on Thursday at Camp Nou, and the new Blaugrana striker spoke to the press for the first time as a Barça player:
Alcácer promises to work hard, mentions how his relationship with current Barça players who were his teammates at Valencia (Mathieu, Alba, André Gomes) will help him, and makes himself available to play wherever Luis Enrique wants him to. Here's a few higlights from Paco's presser:
"I have come to the best club in the world, the team that creates the most football. For me this experience will be very nice. I want to thank Barça and my family for the fact that I'm here. When Barça calls it's hard to say no. Coming here is very attractive and I'm sure it will be good for me on a sporting level.
"I'm very excited to improve alongside these players. Working alongside Messi, Neymar and Suárez will help me improve both on a sporting level and a personal one. The truth is that it's nice to play again with Alba, Mathieu, Denis and André. Training with these players is easy, they've received me well.
"If the coach decides to play me on Saturday I will be ready. My role will be decided by the coach. There are a lot of games and anything can happen. We're all here to contribute."
