Messi, Suarez and Neymar returned to Barcelona training on Monday
FC Barcelona forwards Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar Jr returned to training on Monday. The three players brought a two week break to an end and rejoined their team-mates, along with another South American, Javier Mascherano. The four players were the only ones who hadn't returned yet after Gerard Pique opted to cut his Chirstmas break short (he was given the same time off as the others) and get back to work with the rest of the squad on Dec. 30.

Stats show Luis Suarez was Europe's most complete footballer in 2016 - Mirror Online
Think you know how good Luis Suarez has been over the last year? Think again. While you are presumably well aware that the 'S' in Barcelona's MSN had a good 2016, the numbers you can see below suggest that Suarez had an even better year than Lionel Messi. In fact, when it comes to goals and assists in 2016 - two fairly important stats for attacking players - Suarez wasn't just better than his brilliant team mate. He was the best player in the whole of Europe.

Never forget how lucky we are to live in the Lionel Messi era  | Daily Mail Online
Lionel Messi will be 30 this year. It hardly means he is entering his dotage but it is a reminder that we must cherish him while we can. He is one of the great performers on any stage, in any era. He is Nureyev. He is Olivier. He is Rostropovich. He is Picasso. He is Sinatra. He is someone who brings joy to everyone who sees him on a football pitch and marvels at the beauty of his art.
