Barcelona midfielder Rafinha had successful right knee surgery on his meniscus on Sunday. The injury will reportedly sideline Rafinha for months and leave a gap on the Barcelona bench, although the club has yet to confirm how long he’ll be out for.
“The first team player Rafinha underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on Sunday on his right knee.
“It is worth remembering that the Barça number 12 is yet to feature for the team this season and that he underwent similar surgery on the internal meniscus of his right knee on 7 April of this year.
“The Brazilian midfielder has played 78 games for the FC Barcelona first team, scoring 11 goals.”
Rafinha has been out since April with the injury, and Sunday was his second operation.
The Brazilian was aiming to be back by now, and the setback is certainly difficult for both Rafinha and the club.
