Brazil boss Tite lavished some high praise on Barcelona’s summer signing Paulinho this week. The quotes came from Brazil’s camp where they are preparing for Thursday’s World Cup Qualifier against Bolivia.

"I think that Paulinho is evolving and his level is going up, from my point of view. The reason for that is he's playing in Barcelona's system.”

When describing Paulinho, Tite said he is a "box-to-box player with good intuition and perception of play, which is one of his best characteristics."

In light of Barcelona’s summer with Brazilians, in case you were wondering if Tite advised Paulinho or any other Brazilians Barcelona flirted with over the summer, he made it pretty clear he doesn’t.

"Just to confirm, during the transfer window, I didn't give any advice, not to Paulinho nor to any other Brazilians about where they should play. I don't think I have that right and I don't want to interfere in the work managers and directors are doing at their various clubs.”
