FC Barcelona will be patient in helping Ousmane Dembélé return from a muscular injury that has kept him from playing beyond his first few games for the club.

The player hoped to return within two months, but the club is telling him to be patient and are hoping to have him back to full fitness by February, according to a report in Diario SPORT.

He will certainly not be available for El Clásico against Real Madrid, as the team sees him only returning after the New Year. Then, they want to bring him into the team slowly throughout January, hoping he can make the starting XI by February.

The team is telling him to follow the example of Lionel Messi, who stopped having as many muscle injuries after learning how to listen to his body.

The player is eager to get back to the field and impress, and he has been commended by the staff for his work ethic during recovery. Recently the team gave him permission to go to London and take a break.
