Barça sails past Murcia, 5–0, and into the last 16 of the Copa del Rey | FC Barcelona
Five different players contributed goals on Wednesday evening as the Copa del Rey’s three-time defending champion, FC Barcelona, went full steam ahead into the last 16, easily sailing past Real Murcia, 5-0, before 68,775 fans on the Club's annual Member Solidarity Day at Camp Nou.

“In this type of game you try and avoid surprises and the best way to do it is to play with pace and dynamism. Both in the first leg and in the second leg we were good in that aspect and having got through to the last 16 leaves a pleasant taste in our mouths,” said Valverde after goals from Alcácer, Piqué, Aleix Vidal, Denis Suárez and one from the B team striker Arnaiz.

FC Barcelona are now in the last 16 of the Copa del Rey. A 5-0 win over Murcia in the second leg of their last 32 tie at Camp Nou gave them an 8-0 aggregate victory. On the scoresheet were Paco Alcácer, Piqué, Aleix Vidal, Denis Suárez and Jose Arnaiz in a game in which the blaugranes dominated the Second Division B side from start to finish.

Oriol Busquets and David Costas debut with the first team | FC Barcelona
Murcia were well beaten by FC Barcelona in the second leg of their Copa del Rey tie (5-0). It was a match that will be remembered by Oriol Busquets and David Costas as both Barça B players debuted with the first team, playing their first minutes under Ernesto Valverde.
