AS have claimed Atlético Madrid are to report Barcelona to the world football governing body FIFA. The complaint comes after Barça executive Guillermo Amor’s weekend comments.

The Director of Institutional Relations for Barcelona was responding to rumours Barça had made contact and was quoted saying:

“If that’s what the paper says then it’s the case. It is possible there has been an approach and that some progress has been made.

It’s work the club is normally accustomed to doing. In the football world it’s inevitable that people talk about players. It’s something that tends to happen.”

The decision to report Barça came at a Monday meeting between Atlético shareholders.
