Iniesta misses Barcelona’s trip to Villarreal

Barcelona have been dealt a blow ahead of Sunday’s trip to Villarreal as midfielder Andres Iniesta has been ruled out of the clash due to injury.

Iniesta also missed the midweek win over Sporting due to injury and Barcelona have confirmed he will not travel, but not how severe the problem is.

Denis Suarez will probably continue in Iniesta’s place but hopefully the 33-year-old will not be out for too long.

After Sunday’s game Barca have just two fixtures left before Christmas, a home game against Deportivo La Coruna next Sunday and then El Clasico on December 23rd.
