The Spirit of the Remuntada vs. PSG Will Live on Forever In Barcelona’s Hearts

This one is going down in club history.

FC Barcelona’s remuntada - the comeback from 0-4 to 6-5 against Paris Saint-Germain - is going to give a psychological boost that may live on for decades and decades.

This is a blueprint to follow, living proof that what may seem impossible actually isn’t.

If Barcelona trail or lose a first leg again, will any player give up? Well, needing 3 goals in the space of a few minutes, did they? No, so why would you ever lose hope?

They’ll always believe they’re on the cusp of a glorious comeback, and that self-belief is the first step towards achieving any huge goal.

Sure, Barcelona have had comebacks. In 2013, there was a 4-0 thrashing of AC Milan at the Camp Nou, having lost the first leg 0-2.

But 0-2 and 0-4 are very different tasks, and needing 2 goals to stay alive in 90+ minutes is different than needing 3 with just a few minutes left.

This comeback not only dwarfs the Milan comeback, it dwarfs just about any comeback at the Champions League level. No team had overturned a 0-4.

And even when this team is dismantled or retired, the next person who puts on a Barcelona shirt is going to feel like no matter what, he still has a chance to win.
