France Football magazine is advising Paris Saint-Germain to sell Marco Verratti to Barcelona and buy Barcelona’s own Ivan Rakitic.
Their newest cover reads: "Why Paris Should Sell Verratti," and argues that selling their star midfielder is the right way forward. They say keeping a disgruntled player is a bad idea, and PSG should focus on the profit they will make after buying him for a mere 12 million euro from Pescara five years ago
The magazine also recommends Rakitic as a possible replacement. The Croatian played in Sevilla, where he was very successful under Unai Emery, PSG’s current coach. PSG would be able to buy Rakitic and keep a lot of leftover money from Verratti’s sale.
The other possible signings recommended by France Football are: Radja Nainggolan (AS Roma), Ever Banega (Inter Milan), Claudio Marchisio (Juventus), and Fabinho (AS Monaco), who is already being linked with a move to Paris.
