Will Arda Turan still be at Barcelona at the start of the season? The answer to that question has seemed very much like a definite “no” but his agent Ahmet Bulut has now claimed he’s going nowhere. Really?
Arsenal have been the club most frequently linked with Arda with the latest speculation even claiming a deal had been agreed with Arsene Wenger’s side, which looks more than a tad premature given Bulut’s latest comments.
Other reports have claimed that Barca would much rather flog Arda to a Chinese Super League club, which also makes sense when you think they are more likely to receive a bigger offer from China.
However, despite all this Bulut says Arda is going nowhere, that Barcelona are happy with him and that he will see out his contract.
“Arda's not going anywhere. Barcelona are happy with him and we've not spoken with any club about a transfer,” he said.
"The news being reported about him leaving the club annoys Arda. The board don't like the rumours either. Arda Turan will finish his contract -- he will stay until 2020."

While the arrival of Ernesto Valverde as the club’s new coach may well have breathed new life into Arda’s hopes staying at Barca, it’s still difficult to see him featuring regularly next season.
The club also needs to raise funds and Arda is one of the few squad players who could bring in a decent fee, another reason why speculation over his future has been intense.
While he may well want to stay, and let’s face it wherever he goes will be a step down, it just doesn’t seem that the feeling is mutual at the moment.
