You thought the Marco Verratti saga was over, huh? Well, French journalist Antoine Maumon says not yet. The Paris Saint-Germain star could still get his dream move to Barcelona.

Speaking to the radio show La Graderia, a part of Cadena SER, Maumon said: “Barcelona still want to sign Verratti, and Verratti, despite the video, still wants to sign for Barcelona.”

That video was published by PSG, and showed Verratti saying he was happy in Paris and apologizing for the words of his agent, Donato Di Campli. Di Campli called Verratti a “prisoner” at PSG.

But, Maumon says, the video was something "the president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, forced him to do."

Barcelona are understood to be open to the possibility of signing Verratti up until the last day of the transfer window. They are also looking at bringing him in even next summer.

"I don't think Verratti will sign for Barça this summer," Maumon said.
