Gerard Pique is in Asia to participate in the official presentation of the deal Barcelona has struck with Japanese commerce giants Rakuten. But before the big event on Wednesday, Pique had time to have some fun

He met Japanese singer Pikotaro, and, perhaps sensing he had a chance to be a pop star as big as his partner, Shakira, the defender showed off his singing skills. Pique performed a duet with Pikotaro as they sang an impromptu rendition of the Japanese singer’s hit song “PPAP (Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen).”

Pikotaro is the alter ego of Daimaou Kosaka, a comedian. His song's bizarre music video, coupled with its catchy tune and nonsensical lyrics, went viral after coming out on YouTube, having been viewed over 120 million times.
