Jordi Mestre, Barcelona’s vice-president, has come out strongly against rumors that Neymar wants to join Paris-Saint Germain.

Speaking at Pep Segura’s presentation as the new sporting manager, Mestre said: "200% sure, Neymar isn't leaving Barça this summer. This morning, I read that PSG was denying it. There is no reason for there to be a change in the clubs' relationship."

French journal L'Equipe said today that a source close to PSG told them that they "weren't going to resurrect the Neymar show. There exists an enormous clause and we have to be realistic." Meanwhile, Robert Fernandez, Barcelona's sporting director, was beating the same drum: "It's not going to happen. No club will come to pay Neymar's clause."

Neymar’s release clause currently stands at a jaw-dropping 222 million euro. That’s before tax.
