Croatia manager Zlatko Dalic has confirmed that Ivan Rakitic is on his way back to Barcelona after picking up a problem against Spain.
The midfielder was substituted during Thursday’s 3-2 win over Luis Enrique’s side and has now been ruled out of their Nations League clash with injury.
“He will go to Barcelona because there is an injury,” he said. “You know my practice not to risk [players] if there is anything suspicious.
”We want healthy and ready players, Ivan Rakitic at the moment is not one hundred per cent ready for the game so unfortunately we go without him.
“We’ve got [Nikola] Vlasic, [Mateo] Kovacic, [Josip] Brekalo, we have [Milan] Badelj, we always have solutions. We’ll look for another solution and that will be fine, I hope.”

It’s not completely clear what Rakitic’s injury is, there are reports he’s suffering from a hamstring problem.
Barcelona will be hoping it’s not too serious, although he’s not available to play against Atletico Madrid anyway as he’s suspended for the clash at the Wanda Metropolitano.
