"It's madness, it doesn't make sense." That's how Mazinho, the father and agent of Rafinha, describes his son's situation.

"The truth is we try for Rafa to have a situation in which he plays regularly," he said.

"We have to find an exit because here it's too complicated. He's been here for two years, he plays very little, and he needs a club that gives him 30 or 40 matches per season."

Rafinha spent last season on loan at Inter Milan. Inter did not buy him outright this past summer. Betis were interested as well but didn't offer enough money for Barça to part with the player.

"Here you get three matches in a row, but then you get cut off" Mazinho continued. "The manager has a way of doing things in his head, but as far as the player, he's doing well. He has had a very good preseason, amazing matches, and it's not understandable."

The father and agent suggested a transfer out soon is in the cards: "We do not discard a winter exit. If there are interested clubs, Barcelona is interested in a transfer, and the player is happy, then we will work together."
