Arturo Vidal scored twice for Chile, as they beat Honduras 4-1 in a friendly international on Tuesday.

The Barcelona midfielder opened the scoring after eight minutes with a tap-in, after Alexis Sanchez’s header had been saved by goalkeeper Luis Lopez.

The 31-year-old then made it 2-0 from the penalty spot, before Alexander Lopez pulled one back five minutes before the break.

Chile extended their lead after half-time. Alexis scored on the hour mark, netting the rebound after his initial penalty had been saved.

The hosts were then awarded a third penalty, for handball, which Nicolas Castillo converted on 84 minutes to seal the win.
