Sergio Busquets makes 500th Barcelona appearance against Atletico Madrid

Sergio Busquets took to the field in a Barcelona shirt for the 500th time on Saturday against Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

The midfielder joins a select group of players to have hit the landmark, as you can see only six players have made more appearances for the club than the 30-year-old.

Busquets can expect to surpass quite a few names on that list before he finally decides to hang up his boots.

He signed a new contract back in September until 2023, which means we will get to enjoy watching him play for Barcelona for many more years to come.
