Manchester City and Juventus are on alert over Jordi Alba, whose contract is up in 2020, according to Tuttosport. The Italian publication claims both teams are very interested in him, should his impasse with Barcelona continue.

The left-back has publicly expressed surprise at not receiving a contract renewal yet, although again, the deal itself is not over until 2020. There are rumors that Barça and the player will be coming to an agreement soon, but until that is, it seems many clubs will be monitoring the situation.

Tuttosport says it could be “another Dani Alves case” if the team does not renew or sell him soon, allowing him to leave on a Bosman transfer like Alves did when he joined Juventus.

Juventus themselves may be looking to replace their own left-back, Alex Sandro, who also has a contract ending in 2020.
