Ernesto Valverde gave Malcom his fourth outing of the season on Tuesday night and the Brazilian was able to break down the Inter defence and score past Samir Handanovic, before running to the corner with his head in his hands. It was a tearful moment for the winger as he let out all the emotion he’d been feeling after only having played 105 minutes since his summer move from Bordeaux.

It is not new for Arthur to be going strong at Barcelona, as the Brazilian has improved every day since Ernesto Valverde selected him. At the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Tuesday he offered an extraordinary showing, completing 96 percent of his passes, the best of the team, beating both Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic, and his style of play has seen him compared to Xavi.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has told ESPN FC that it turned down an offer for the 2019 Spanish Supercup to be played in the United States. The proposal to play the game between the winners of La Liga and the Copa del Rey champions in the U.S. was submitted by Relevent Sports, the organisers of the International Champions Cup.
