Barcelona’s Jordi Alba recalled to Spain squad

Luis Enrique has handed Jordi Alba an international recall after leaving him out of his first two Spain squads.

Alba’s omission had raised eyebrows, particularly as the full-back has been in brilliant form for Barcelona this season.

His performances appear to have led to a change of heart for Lucho, with Alba now back in the squad. Barcelona’s other only representatives are Sergi Roberto and Sergio Busquets.

Spain play Croatia in the UEFA Nations League next Thursday in Zagreb, they then take on Bosnia and Herzegovina in a friendly in Las Palmas three days later.
