Once again Leo Messi has shown he is quite simply the greatest player of all time. And once again he will be picking up a Golden Shoe as the top goalscorer — Messi scored 34 goals last season in La Liga — in all of Europe’s domestic leagues. It is the fifth time he has earned that distinction, more than any other player in history.

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi will pick up his fifth Golden Boot trophy on Tuesday afternoon after being the top scorer in Europe last season with 34 goals in LaLiga Santander. The award is handed over by the European Sports Media, of which MARCA is a part of, and Messi receiving the Golden Boot will take his overall tally to five, one ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Barcelona optimistic Semedo will be fit to play against Celta | Sport
Barcelona are optimistic Nelson Semedo’s injury is not to serious and, according to Diario AS, the Portuguese full-back could be ready for the Celta Vigo game on Saturday. Tests at the club’s training ground on Monday have ruled out a serious injury to Semedo’s knee and he’s likely to return to training this week.
