Bentancur linked with Barcelona

Juventus midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur has caught the eye of Barcelona scouts, according to a report in Corriere dello Sport [via SPORT]. Barça would be willing to pay 60 million for the 21-year-old, according to the report. Bentancur would be seen as an investment in the present and the future of the club. It would be interesting to know what it would mean for other prospective signings, like Frenkie de Jong and Adrien Rabiot.

Everton want to buy Gomes

Everton are quite pleased with how André Gomes is doing in the Premier League. He’s currently on loan to the Liverpool-based club. Everton paid a £2 million loan fee for his services, and now they want to make the transfer permanent, according to The Times. Because Gomes’s stay at Barcelona was unhappy, Everton hope they can lower the fee in bringing the Portuguese midfielder to their ranks on a permanent basis.
