Barcelona have received a boost today with Ousmane Dembele returning to training after his latest injury setback.
The Frenchman has been sidelined since picking up a fresh hamstring problem in the 4-2 win over Real Sociedad in January.
The injury was expected to keep him out for three or four weeks and it looks as though his comeback is gaining pace.
AS report on Saturday that Barcelona are hopeful he will be fit for Barcelona’s Champions League clash with Chelsea. The firs leg is scheduled for February 20th.
It’s entirely possible he could return to action before then but his injury record this season suggests there is no point in rushing him back.
Ernesto Valverde will hold his pre-match press conference later and hopefully he will provide an update on Dembele’s progress.
