Barcelona set club record against Espanyol as unbeaten run continues

Barcelona’s unbeaten record remains intact despite coming under serious threat at Espanyol on Sunday.

Ernesto Valverde’s La Liga leaders looked in big trouble as Gerard Moreno headed home in the second half to put them 1-0 up.

Barca were struggling to create chances as the pitch slowly turned into a swimming pool but had Gerard Pique to thank as he headed home an equaliser with eight minutes to go.

His goal means Barca have now gone 22 games without defeat in La Liga - a club record.

Barca will be hoping to extend that record next weekend with Getafe the next visitors to Camp Nou in La Liga.
