Gerard Piqué Training “Without Problems,” Andrés Iniesta On the Road to Recovery

Good news as Barcelona prepare for Chelsea clash

Gerard Piqué finished today’s training session without any problems (per Diario SPORT) and Andrés Iniesta has started his recovery. Two pieces of good news for FC Barcelona are they’re preparing to take on Chelsea in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie.

Piqué has been struggling with knee issues in recent weeks, although he has not missed too much time because of it. Regardless, there were reports he felt pain in the match against Atlético Madrid, which would be a big worry going forward. Luckily, he reported training totally normally today, according to reports.

Iniesta suffered a hamstring injury in that match, and, while early reports suggested he’d be out for up to a month, there is said to be a small chance he could play against Chelsea next week. Still, it will be quite difficult for him to be fit enough to start.
