Ivan Rakitic to undergo surgery after breaking finger in Barcelona’s Champions League defeat to Roma

Barcelona have confirmed that Ivan Rakitic broke a finger during Tuesday’s Champions League defeat to Roma and needs to undergo surgery on the injury.

The club haven’t said yet how long he will be out of action for but it will be another blow for Barca with Sergio Busquets also struggling with fitness.

Ernesto Valverde’s side will hope to bounce back from the defeat when the face Valencia at the Camp Nou on Saturday. Barca need just 10 more points from their remaining seven games to claim the title.
