MATCH REPORT: Barça rolls over Roma, 4–1, as defenders take center stage | FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona got two goals from Roma defenders and a third from one of its own, the center back Gerard Piqué, to cruise to a 4-1 victory at Camp Nou on Wednesday night in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals. After Piqué’s goal put Barça up, 3–0, with just ten minutes to play, Roma striker Edin Dzeko pulled one back before Luis Suárez added a late fourth for Els Blaugranes.

Barcelona have told Javier Tebas to focus on his own work and called the La Liga president’s comments that the Copa del Rey final should be abandoned if supporters jeer the Spanish anthem “unacceptable and inappropriate.” Barca will appear in their fourth consecutive domestic cup final on April 21 when they meet Sevilla at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano.
